It's so annoying and everyone hates it, don't you think so? If you don't know, my university does a Mid-term exam month, where it's completely just exam and nothing else, just like End-term exam month. And it's so annoying (there, I said it again). We can have a week without exam so I can go wherever I want, but I am still a prisoner of exam.

On saturday, my friends ask me to tag along with them to a shopping centre to go to a theather, there are supposed to be a Japanese food event held by JKT48. It's called Made in Hokkaido. We thought it was going to be slightly bigger.. sort of like a pop up market. But it's just a stand, and that's all.



We don't really want that to get us down, so we try the food anyway. Psst, it's free, To get the food you need to do a quiz, which is quite funny, because at the end we can choose whatever food we want to, and I choose this. I don't really expect much for a freebie but I like potato cookie and I like it. 

Welcome back to tuesday! Hi everyone! Wow, it's been a solid three weeks.. or four? Which makes it a month. I am sorry for my absent, I was having some issues with some things but now that it's clear I am back to blogging again. When I left blogging a few years ago it was all the same when I came back, but now I left it for a few weeks then it's all changed? Wow, what's happening with Blogspot? It's look simplified, alright. But it's quite messy for my taste. I mean, I am messy, but this is just too much for me. Well, then... enough about ranting let's get going.

I went to Fuwa-Fuwa Cakes opening for their newest store at Central Park Jakarta. They were offering craziest deal I've ever heard. People are lining up so quickly and I am glad I did not have to wait too long for the cake. I waited for three hours... but others wait till the dawn. I honestly never try their fluffy cheesecake before, and I am quite picky when it comes to cakes because I am doing baking and tasting quite a lot.


Before I went to the store I checked their Instagram and website, turned out they also have a store at Pantai Indah Kapuk. I am expecting a lot from this brand because everyone that I know said that it is really good and quite addicting.


And yes, it turned out I love it so much. Especially because when I received it, it was freshly baked. I love this cheesecake. It was definitely worth the wait. My sister doesn't really like cheese but she also love it. Next time I'll make sure I'll taste the chocolate and matcha cake.

October has passed, all the spooky stuff finally went away. I'm not really a big fan of Halloween, although I enjoy watching people cosplay and do impression because it is so cool. If you asked me to go to an escape room or like a haunted house kind of attraction, I'd probably smile and then say, 'No, thanks.' Hahaha. Really though. This month has been so lovely yet hectic, earlier this month I got my diploma degree, went to several events, and at the end I got cold, probably because I was too excited to go everywhere that I need to attend yet I'm a homebody person.

Anyway, I also brought quite a lot of new K-beauty make up this month, the Korean makeup just grew on me, recently. One of the product that I brought is Air-Fit A'PIEU Cushion. If you don't know.. A'PIEU is owned by the same company as Missha, one of the most known brand in Korea. But honestly, I cannot get over how cute the packaging and the case is. It's so cute.

I brought it on KoreaBuys which one of my favorite Indonesian-Korean K-Beauty store, because they sell things pretty cheap and the always send my stuff very neat and unharmed, because I live in Jakarta, it only took about 2-3 days for item to arrived, although when I brought a bag, it took about a week to arrived.


I choose No. 23 because it suits me the most as a person who have olive skin. Oh, and since K-beauty focused much on how to make your skin glow, I suggest to use to product lightly if you don't want a shiny face.



It lasts about 4-5 hours on my face, but I think it varies based on your activity and weather too, because sometimes Jakarta gets so hot that it ruins my make up. The price is 140,000 IDR on KoreaBuys. Although if you buy it directly from Korea you'll know that it's only 6800 KRW which is about 6 USD/ 4.8 GBP. Well, it doesn't matter because the shipping fee is more expensive if you buy it directly.

Overall, Sabrina enjoys this product and will probably wear more of this soon.

I went over to a beach near where I live with some of my classmates today. It was a very hot day so I sweat a lot. We went to beach for a task's sakes from our lecturer. The shot went great and we all glad that we were able to film the whole thing.


Although one thing that bothered me is that, as I told you before, it was a VERY hot day, I sweat and ruin my make up, I tweet rant about this a bit. but it doesn't matter, what bothered me is that I get constantly reminded that I have dark skin, how my face is dark, and how 'black' I am, in a bad way. To be honest, I tan so quickly. I have a natural darker skin, and by getting tan makes my skin darker. I am okay with it, but people seems to not be okay with it.

A quick story about my race, ethnicity, and heritage. My mother came from Jakarta with Sundanese ethnic, while my father is from a very traditional Javanese family back in Sragen. My father have darker skin than my mother's, so scientifically, it is natural for me to get my skin darker than my mom's, but lighter than my dad's.



You see.. I realize that from where I live, which is an Eastern country, people hate tanned skin, and will mock and look down those who have one. But I can't help it, you know. I can't. I wear like 3 layers of sunscreen that day, and I still got tanned so quickly. I also often get compared with my mother how mother is a beauty and my mother is way prettier than me, which upsets my mother most of the time when someone said that in front of her.

What's worse of all is people who usually attack me like this are either in the same race as I am, or half I am, in a way they still share the same race as I am. How can they be racist to their own race, you may ask? Well, I bet it's because I am a girl and girl should have lighter skin and much more fair skin than men. Ridiculous yes, but sadly it's been going on since I don't know when. I don't think someone deserved to be reminded how bad they look to their idea of beauty and to be mock and look down like that. So often I get impression people would not see me as a women for my skin, yet they will most likely to talk and 'notice' on other part of my body, which is also rude and inappropriate.

I don't write about this because I am on my mood-swing on my menstruation cycle, and I am not attacking anyone through this post, although I am quite upset about it for a moment when more than five person said to me just this month. I am saying this because I genuinely want people to understand that it isn't true that the more they have darker skin, the uglier they are. Look at these gorgeous women, they are so beautiful.

I went to a mall over the weekend to accompany my little sister to YouTube fanfest. It's quite a cool event, I don't usually watch Indonesian YouTubers as I have different interest in various YouTuber around the world, but that doesn't mean I hate to watch them, in fact I have a few aspiring Indonesian YouTuber friends and their materials are awesome and I mean it. I met few YouTubers there in which my sister are so familiar with. I didn't take picture with them as they were busy but my sister managed to do a selfie or a picture together.

I have a lot of scars. Most of it quite visible. I have scars on my left elbow, right elbow, on my foot, to be exact, I have one of my sole, upper sole, the skin on my shinbone, I have two on calf, near the palm of my right hand. They are all visible. It all started when I was very young, I get so excited about something that I don't realize I walk backward and there are a Motorbike's exhaust and my calf touches it. It was burning. (It actually happened again, recently), as I was writing this, my hand still burning and probably be another scar.

To be honest, I used to hate it. Hate it a lot, I look up to people who seem to have flawless skin and got wondering why I do have these scars that just make me feel so embarrassed of myself. I have people pointed out at my scars, and saying 'Is that scars?' While giving a weird face look. While they know that it is scars. I used to think, 'When they ever realize that they hurting my feeling through those three words and such facial expression. To me, my scars didn't mean a lot, it wasn't given to me by someone else, it just some pure accidents and nothing else, but to someone, there are something more behind those scars.

While I still think it is wrong for people being insensitive about the matter, I realize that the best way to handle them is to take a deep breathe, nod and tell them, "Yes. they are MY scars." After all, everyone has scars. Everyone has story behind it. I keep saying I live in my body as long as I'm breathing, that I should cherish things instead of worrying about these things, because it's true.

As for now, I already accepted most of who I am, even if I still struggle to accept some facts, but that's for me to work on, and you should too. You should try to accept and love yourself. You are you. You are your brain, you are your scars, you are your personality. Now, if you can make it fade away, make it fade away. If you feel you shouldn't, then don't. The only thing that matter is don't let anyone take away your happiness.

If you can't already tell by the title, and if you haven't notice anything changed in this blog (Ahem..) you might as well close this blog because the change is obvious! Just kidding, don't close it, you got it? Anyway, yes, I changed the whole thing, first banner thing because it wasn't actually my banner, I just edited it out. I made this one on my own using Photoshop CS6, I made a favicon too, but it doesn't work out well, I don't even know why? If you know why, please let me know. I have set up my favicon into .ico file too if you ask me. OK.. I need to calm down talking about these files. Ha-ha.

Second of all, I changed my blog skin, this one is simple too. I love it. I hope you do too, because as I'm trying to change my blog skin I need to put on viewers shoes to see if it's bothering them or not, I hope I'm making the right decision. Guys.. Wow, I'm so pumped up to start writing new blog posts again.

Anyway...

I got myself a new wallet today and it's so cute. Even my mom loves it. She usually hates the stuff that I picked. It's blue and it's cool. My previous wallet was a wallet I brought in China and they were nice too, but after a year long of using the wallet, it broke, they got torn. It's my fault, anyway.

How I missed you. I know it's been three year and a month since I post a blog. A lot of happened since, I met a lot of friends, lose some, there are a lot of tears too. Not just a sad one, happy tears too. Yesterday, I went to my thesis defense for my bachelor degree. I think I passed! (Well, I don't really know, but considering everyone passed and I got only two things to revise from the examiner.. I guess I'm OK). Here is a collage picture of me and my friends celebrating our day!


I also got a tons of snacks from them. I got few chocolates, and a lot of yummy food. A dozen donut from my very close friend too! It was a fun day and then we went to attend a class in the afternoon. When I was on my way to go back home it was raining so hard and I'm taking motorbike to campus, but the food is safe. (Priority!) so are my papers and clothes. It was a fun day and now I have to do all the revision and I got a tons of annoying tasks and homework that I have to work on. Geez, University, give me a break.

Anyway, I know that I have another intention when I first make this blog. I wanted to make a fashion blog and all, I want to. I'm still going to post some if possible. It's just for now I don't have much time go around shopping and picking out clothes, then taking pictures for the blog. Since I'm barely starting too, I got no endorse whatsoever, so it's all mine. I should've commited, I know, I'm sorry for that. University takes soooo much of my time and I hope whoever read or enjoy my blog will understand. For now, I'll just going to post whatever in my mind, just consider this a lifestyle blog for a while until I'm finally ready to be a full time fashion blogger. Again, I'll still post fashion related if possible.
